What are Xanthones??

"Xanthones are just as impressive as it sounds - a family of vigourus phytonutrient with powerful antioxidnat properties that inhibit oxidation and help protect cellsagainst harmful effects of free radicals." The chemical structure of xanthones form the central core of a variety of naturally occurring organic compounds, such as mangostin, which are sometimes collectively referred to as Xanthones. Over 200 types of Xanthones have been identified. Many of these xanthones are found in the skin and reddish colored tissue of the mangosteen fruit, which can be found in the region of Southeast Asia. It can also be found in XanGo®! It has been found to have medicinal properties for centuries! XanGo® is the only product that uses the WHOLE fruit of the mangosteen. The XanGo® name is created by the words: XANthones and manGOsteen.
